What does OSGOR cover?

We analyze which cases relate to OSGOR: harm to health, loss of ability to work, occupational diseases, and death of an employee.

What does OSGOR cover?

What is considered an insured event?

Under OSGOR, an insured event is recognised as the occurrence of the employer's civil liability to compensate for harm caused to the life and health of an employee in the performance of labour or official duties.

What consequences are taken into account?

Within the framework of legislation, cases related to the following are considered:

  •  - permanent loss of ability to work;
  •  - damage to health;
  •  - occupational disease;
  •  - death of an employee;
  •  - other consequences provided for by law and the contract.

On the OSGOR page of Arsenal-Kyrgyzstan, temporary total or partial loss of ability to work, permanent total or partial loss of ability to work, and death of an employee as a result of a work-related injury are separately indicated.

What can be compensated?

The amount of harm is determined on the basis of documents provided for by law.

The law provides for compensation for harm related to the loss of earnings or income, as well as certain additional expenses related to damage to health, and funeral expenses in the event of the death of an employee.

The amount of compensation for harm related to damage to health or death of an employee is determined based on the actual harm, but within the limits of the sum insured.

What OSGOR does not mean?

OSGOR is not medical insurance for the employee and does not replace other types of insurance.

Also, the specific grounds for full or partial refusal of insurance compensation are determined by legislation and the insurance contract.

Does OSGOR cover an ordinary illness of an employee?
Not every illness is an insured event. For OSGOR to apply, the conditions provided for by law and a connection with the performance of employment duties must be present.

Does OSGOR cover the death of an employee?
Death may relate to insured consequences if it is connected with an insured event provided for by law.

Does OSGOR cover occupational disease?
Occupational disease is considered by legislation as a disease caused by exposure to harmful or dangerous production factors in connection with the performance of employment duties.

Is there a maximum payment amount?
The insurance payment is made within the limits of the sum insured established by the contract.
